The Department of Skill, Employment and Entrepreneurship, Assam has digitized the process of preparation of Employment Exchange Registration Certificate from various employment exchanges in Assam. The Employment Exchange Registration Certificate is an essential document to get a government job in Assam. The Assam government under the leadership of Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma is taking many bold steps and this is one of those steps. The online registration process is a great and welcome step by the Government of Assam as it minimizes the physical visit to the employment exchanges of Assam and it provides an opportunity to the candidates to get the certificate directly from their home.

Exchange Card Registration Details

Name of Task: Online Employment Exchange Registration

Name of Department: Department of Skill, Employment and Entrepreneurship, Assam

Launch Date: 27th September 2021

Eligibility: All citizens of India above the age of 14 years who are permanent residents of Assam are eligible to register their names in the Employment Exchange of the State of Assam.

District: The candidates are eligible for Registration in one Employment Exchange only in the state, where they are permanent residents within the jurisdiction of the District.

How to Complete Online Exchange Registration?

Candidates who are willing to generate their Employment Exchange Registration Certificate online must submit the application on the official portal of Government of Assam. The online process to generate Employment Exchange Registration Certificate has been started on 27th September 2021. In this process, there are two ways to complete the verification of applicants. Those two verification methods are AADHAAR Based Verification and Non-AADHAAR Based Verification. Candidates have to submit their online applications on the basis of these two verification methods. Both verification methods are briefly described below.

AADHAAR Based Verification

The candidates who will opt for this AADHAAR Based Verification method will not need to visit any office to complete their Employment Exchange Registration process as the authentication will be done with the help of their AADHAAR details. This method is quite easy and simple, the only drawback is that the candidate must have a valid AADHAAR to complete the online process. The online application process for AADHAAR Based Verification will be as follows.

  • The official application portal will load in the new tab.
  • Complete the registration process with the help of your mobile number.
  • Now, login to the portal by providing the User ID and Password.
  • Choose Register in Employment Exchange (AADHAAR Based) option.
  • Now, fill all the required and asked information.
  • Upload the required documents in the asked file format and size.
  • After that you will get an option to download Employment Exchange Registration e-certificate.

Non-AADHAAR Based Verification

The candidates who will opt for Non-AADHAAR Based Verification, will need to visit Employment Office for the verification of their documents. Candidates have to select their desired employment office, date and time for verification. Candidates will have to visit the selected employment office on the day of their appointment and complete the process to obtain the registration certificate. The online application process for Non-AADHAAR Based Verification will be as follows.

  • The official application portal will load in the new tab.
  • Complete the registration process with the help of your mobile number.
  • Now, login to the portal by providing the User ID and Password.
  • Choose Register in Employment Exchange (Non-AADHAAR Based) option.
  • Select date and time for verification of documents.
  • Visit employment office for the documents verification.
  • Follow the necessary guidelines and process.
  • Receive the Employment Registration Certificate.

Required Documents to Complete Registration

Mobile Number: Candidates will need a valid and active mobile number to complete the registration process.

Educational Documents: Candidates have to produce a single PDF of all their pass certificates and mark sheets. Note that all copies of documents must be scanned and clearly readable otherwise your application may be rejected.

Age Proof: Candidates have to submit any one of the below listed documents as their age proof.

  • Birth Certificate.
  • HSLC Admit Card.
  • School Certificate.

Proof of Residency: Candidates have to submit any one of the below listed documents as proof of their residence.

  • AADHAAR Card.
  • Driving License (Self or Parents).
  • Copy of Chitha/Jamabandi (Self or Parents).
  • Copy of Passport (Self or Parents).
  • Certified Copy of Electoral Roll/EPIC (Self or Parents).

Caste Certificate: Candidates have to upload caste certificate if they belong to SC/ ST/ OBC/MOBC/ EWS category.

PWD: In case of PWD (Person with Disability) candidate, a disability certificate issued by the competent authority will be required.

Other: Candidates may require some additional documents as per their category.

Registration Fee for Employment Exchange

Employment Exchange Registration is a free process and candidates do not need to pay anything to obtain Employment Exchange Registration Certificate in Assam.
