The West Bengal Board Class 12 Results 2022 will be announced on June 10, 2022 at 11.30 am since the Board has conducted the exams on time this Academic Session. In 2021, the WBCHSE HS Exams were cancelled and the WB Class 12 Result was announced on July 22 at 4 PM. In 2020, the WB 12th Result was announced on July 17.
The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) announced the Higher Secondary (Class 12) Examinations Revised Date Sheet 2022 i.e. the WB 12th Datesheet 2022. According to the announcement, the West Bengal HS (Class 12) Exams 2022 were held between April 02-27, 2022. Keeping in mind the COVID-19 Pandemic, the WBCHSE HS Exam 2022 was held at the home examination centres only and for a total of 56 subjects. An official communication from WBCHSE said, “The dates of JEE (Main) Examination has been announced by NTA according to which the schedule date of season 1 examination is from 16th April to 21st April 2022, which is in direct conflict with already announced schedule of HS Examination 2022. Hence for the greater interest & convenience of the candidates who will be attempting JEE (Main) Examination along with HS Examination, the Council has rescheduled the dates of the examination.”

Effect of Coronavirus Pandemic on West Bengal Class 12 Exams 2021
In a relief to more than 8 lakh students who were slated to appear for the WBCHSE HS (Class 12) Exams 2022, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced the cancellation of West Bengal Class 12th Exams. Earlier, the Chief Minister had announced the exams to be conducted in the last week of July and students to be allowed to appear from their own schools (in which they are enrolled) instead of external exam centres and all COVID-19 Protocols to be strictly adhered to. WBCHSE was also expected to announce the conduct of only major exams and an internal assessment method for all the remaining papers.
The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) also announced the marking scheme for computing the WB Uccha Madhyamik (Class 12) Results in 2021. According to the WBCHSE, 40% marks were awarded on the basis of a student’s Madhyamik (Class 10) Results. Of this 40%, the best 4 subjects from the Madhyamik Result were considered. The remaining 60% marks were awarded on the basis of Class 11 & 12 Project / Practical / Internal Assessment. The West Bengal Higher Secondary (Class 12) Examinations in 2021, scheduled to be held between June 15 & July 02, were earlier postponed due to the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in the state.
